Norma Barney Anderson

Norma Barney Anderson, 84, of Las Vegas died Sunday. She was born March 31, 1916, in Annabella, Utah. A resident for 33 years, she was a baker for the Clark County School District and a homemaker.

She is survived by three sons, Phil Anderson and Kirt Anderson, both of Las Vegas, and Errol Anderson of Glenwood, Utah; one daughter, Verdeana Rafie of Las Vegas; 18 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Friday with a 5:30 p.m. service in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will be in Utah.

Thelma Bass

Thelma Bass, 72, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born May 16, 1928, in Churchill, Miss. A resident for 41 years, she was a retired hotel guest-room attendant who worked at the Castways, Flamingo and Frontier for almost 40 years.

She is survived by three daughters, Katie Ruth Bass of Chicago, Brenda Bass France of Las Vegas and Tammy Bass Sitole of Lancaster, Calif.; two sons, A.J. Bass Jr. and Carl L. Bass, and three sisters, Almeda Fitzgerald, Jessie Marshal and Johnnie Holley, all of Las Vegas; seven brothers, Eddie Hoy of Natchez, Miss., Albert Hoy, Elliot Hoy, Alfred Hoy, Harry Hoy and Howard Hoy, all of Las Vegas, and Woodrow Hoy of Riverside, Calif.; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Zion United Methodist Church, 2108 N. Revere St. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

Blain H. Beebe

Blain H. Beebe, 77, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 27, 1922, in Junction, Utah. A resident for 49 years, he was a retired construction supervisor and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Maribelle; two daughters, Janene Savage of Antamony, Utah, and Judy Smith of Layton, Utah; one son, Gerald Beebe of Las Vegas; two brothers, Owen Beebe of Carson City and Barnson Beebe of Tooele, Utah; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Max Brendler

Max Brendler, 91, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. He was born June 18, 1908, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 11 years, he was a retired liquor salesman.

He is survived by one son, Saul Brendler of Las Vegas; one daughter, Iris Vega of Cape Coral, Fla.; six grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

The family suggests donations to the Nathan Adelson Hospice, 4141 S. Swenson St., Las Vegas, NV 89119.

Louis E. Burgess

Louis E. Burgess, 80, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local care center. He was born Oct. 12, 1919, in Mounds, Okla. A resident for 14 years, he was a retired supply controller for the Department of Defense and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by two sons, Jimmy D. Burgess of Las Vegas and Larry E. Burgess of Hemet, Calif.; two daughters, Bree Burgess-Rosen of Laguna Beach, Calif., and Carolyn Anderson of Land O' Lakes, Fla.; one brother, Donald Burgess of Mounds; one sister, Margaret Grimes of Oklahoma; and two grandchildren.

Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Sam Draznin

Sam Draznin, 84, of Las Vegas died May 23 in Las Vegas. He was born June 2, 1915, in Chicago. A resident for 28 years, he was a retired accountant and a lifetime member of the Masons in Illinois.

He is survived by his wife, Rose; two sons, Loren Draznin of Redding, Calif., and Lyle Draznin of Rockford, Ill.; and two brothers, Irv Draznin and Julius Draznin, both of Chicago.

Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

The family suggests contributions to the donor's favorite charity.

Helen Leola Eastridge

Helen Leola Eastridge, 76, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 22, 1924, in Texas. A resident for 57 years, she was a hotel housekeeper.

She is survived by three nephews, Gary Lindsey of Placentia, Calif., and Roger Lindsey and Travis Lindsey, both of Las Vegas; two nieces, Rosine Colston of Las Vegas and Carole Bishton of Placentia, Calif.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Burial will be private.

Harold M. Friedman

Harold M. Friedman, 81, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 23, 1918, in Milwaukee. A resident for 12 years, he was a retired transportation salesman and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Bernice; and one brother, Bernie Friedman of Chicago.

Graveside services were scheduled at 8:30 a.m. today in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Joseph P. Gratton

Joseph P. Gratton, 52, of Las Vegas died May 28 in Las Vegas. He was born July 5, 1947, in Los Angeles. A resident for 11 years, he was employed by R&S Printing for two years.

He is survived by his wife, June; one daughter, April Gratton, and one son, Anthony Gratton, both of California; one brother, Ronald Gratton of Kingman, Ariz.; and one sister, Patricia Graham of Kirkland, Wash.

Valley Memorial Crematory, 745 W. Sunset Road, No. 16, Henderson, is handling private arrangements.

George Haber

George Haber, 65, of Henderson died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 10, 1934, in New York. A resident for many years, he was a food chemist.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in New York. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

William Lolatte

William Lolatte, 85, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born March 31, 1915, in Summit, N.J. A resident for 45 years, he was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.

He is survived by two brothers, Robert "Bud" Lolatte of Summit and Norman Lolatte of Boynton Beach, Fla.; and one sister, Margaret McBride of West Hempton, N.J.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

Frances Mundlin

Frances Mundlin, 97, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 25, 1902, in Menlo, Iowa. A resident for eight years, she was a retired supervisor for a cereal manufacturer.

She is survived by one son, Charles Wall of Des Moines, Iowa; one sister, Beulah Fuller of Las Vegas; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation was scheduled noon-2 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Ian Michael Park

Ian Michael Park, 19, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born April 25, 1981, in Kalispell, Mont. A resident for 19 years, he was an apprentice carpenter for Southern Hawk Construction.

He is survived by his parents, Greg and Pamela Park, and one sister, Shawna Park, all of Las Vegas; and his grandparents, Fred and Geneva Park of Ontario, Ore., and Noel Aronson of Lakeside, Mont.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Monday in the Calvary Chapel of Spring Valley, 7175 W. Oquendo Road. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.

Doreen M. Struss

Doreen M. Struss, 45, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 23, 1954, in New York City. A resident for 1 1/2 years, she was a VIP customer service representative for Station Casinos.

She is survived by her husband, Robert G.; five daughters, Wendy Maughan and Vickie Maughan, both of Virginia, Tammy Dougherty and Lorie Maughan, both of Las Vegas, and Crystal Struss of Henderson; two sons, Richard Maughan of New York and Robert N. Struss of Henderson; her mother, Dorothy Henry of California; two sisters, Doris of California and Patty of Dallas; one brother, William of Florida; and eight grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 6 p.m. services today in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.
