Letter: Remembering Adam Petty

Our Sunday paper had Mike Smith's Petty tribute cartoon. Those of us who have grown up with the Pettys know that this is exactly what is happening "up there."

I only wish the gates of heaven in Mike's cartoon had been wider. That way, he could have put Alan Kulwicki, Davey Allison, Clifford Allison, Neil Bonnett and Tim Richmond -- not to mention the other members of the NASCAR racing "family" who have died before their time -- standing there with Adam and his grandfather.
