BLM to step up land sale efforts

The sale netted $14 million, when it was expected to draw more than $31.4 million for a series of government projects.
Officials say they will probably conduct a publicity campaign before future sales, including sticking dozens of "For Sale" signs on parcels and spending more funds on mass-media advertising and possibly direct mail.
"We're trying to be more aggressive and act more like Realtors," BLM spokesman Phillip Guerrero said.
