1st Race -- Shimmering Sand - Training at Santa Anita, draws good post for the 7-panel opener, Pincay rides for trainer Stokes. Salty Pearl - Another who trains 'across town', draws just outside top pick, Espinoza aboard. Value Play -- Accell
2nd Race -- Cozy Man - Pincay aboard Jory trainee, draws good post for the sprint, should get the 'Cozy' trip here. G.L.'s Gold Strike - Gomez on Shulman trainee, adds nasal strip for this outing, needs clean trip from rail post. Value Play -- K.D. Finlay
3rd Race -- Rainbow Palace - Hustling bug boy Baze aboard Van Berg runner, should be a forward factor, graduation at hand. First Class Code - Gomez tabbed by trainer Lewis here, adds blinkers and gets nasal strip, need good trip to first turn for best chance. Value Play -- Delightful Time
4th Race -- Silk Shades - Draws good post for the route outing, Berrio/ Avila team productive, good spot for action. First Time Skier - Bug boy Baze on Shulman trainee, gets weight break and first-time nasal strip, good post draw as well. Value Play -- Simba Dance
5th Race -- Peter's Pond - Gomez scales Hess trainee, well placed in this, will need clean trip from inner post at seven furlongs though. Mister H - Pincay on Eurton trainee, another who is well spotted in this heat, training at Anita. Value Play -- Dating Prospect
6th Race -- Kristen - Ships in from training center, Gomez gets call from obscure trainer Lies, equipped with nasal strip. From Rail To Jail - Berrio/ Avila team again, fits this heat, off rail with good outer post, good spot for action. Value Play -- Monica Luxury
7th Race -- Ora Pro Nobis - Argentine bred hails from McAnally barn, Pincay gets call, one of two 'hidden entry' for trainer. Sam's - The 'other' in trainer McAnally 'hidden entry', another Argentine bred, hustling Espinoza aboard this one. Value Play -- Macward
8th Race -- Brassiness - Pedroza scales for trainer May, part of coupled trainer entry with Thatoldblackmagic, two-for-one chance. Red Rover - Berrio aboard Perdomo trainee, draws good post, if entry fails Red Rover could take over. Value Play -- Bear's Meeting
