Letter: Belated thanks for firefighters
Thursday, June 8, 2000 | 12:12 p.m.
I would like to praise the fine group of firemen we have in Las Vegas.
Several years ago I looked out my front window and saw flames billowing up in the air as high as my roof.
This was just across a very narrow street. Very dangerous! The firemen were here in record time. I was never so glad to see anybody!
It was very hot outside and they had on very heavy and hot equipment. These fine men worked for hours. I know this is late in coming, but thank you so much.
