LAKE MEAD: Striped bass fishing improved during the past week as the fish have finished spawning and have dispersed throughout the lake.
Anglers have reported to the Nevada Division of Wildlife that they are finding stripers in a number of locations including the tires outside of Las Vegas By Marina, Gypsum Wash, Government Wash, Hemenway Harbor, Pyramid Island and the causeway at Lake Mead Marina. Stewart's Point has been productive for anglers who are fishing in the Overton Arm.
One angler reported that he, along with several other boaters, had success late last week in Las Vegas Wash. His largest striper weighed six pounds.
Trolling with anchovies or lures and still-fishing with anchovies are the methods that most anglers used to catch stripers.
LAKE MOHAVE: Fishing has been very good for striped bass above Cottonwood Cove while largemouth bass are being caught in coves in the Cottonwood area.
