Wednesday, June 7, 2000 | 10:20 a.m.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Junior Herndon pitched the first nine-inning complete game of the year for the Stars, allowing five hits and one unearned run, as Las Vegas breezed to a 7-1 victory over Memphis Tuesday.

Herndon (6-4) did not walk a batter and struck out three. He retired 23 of the final 26 batters he faced, allowing just three singles over the final seven innings.

Dusty Allen had a two-run first-inning double that proved to be the game-winner while Greg LaRocca added a three-run double in the seventh to seal the win.
