Norma Barney Anderson
Norma Barney Anderson, 84, of Las Vegas died Sunday. She was born March 31, 1916, in Annabella, Utah. A resident for 33 years, she was a baker for the Clark County School District and a homemaker.
She is survived by three sons, Phil Anderson and Kirt Anderson, both of Las Vegas, and Errol Anderson of Glenwood, Utah; one daughter, Verdeana Rafie of Las Vegas; 18 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Friday with a 5:30 p.m. service in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will be in Utah.
Clayton O. Baker
Clayton O. Baker, 76, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 16, 1923, in Michigan. A resident for 12 years, he was an engineer and welder for an automotive business and an Army veteran.
He is survived by two nephews, Raymond Oliver Baker of Yorba Linda, Calif., and Cliff Baker of San Jacinto, Calif.
American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling private arrangements.
John W. Braun
John W. Braun, 74, of Henderson died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 6, 1926, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for six years, he was a retired U.S. Postal Service letter carrier and a World War II Navy veteran.
He is survived by two daughters, Susan Sadler of Henderson and Kathleen Kiewlich of El Cajon, Calif.; three grandchildren and one great-grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
Peter Joseph Carducci
Peter Joseph Carducci, 52, of Henderson died Saturday. He was born Sept. 30, 1947, in Detroit. A resident for 44 years, he was a carpenter and a member of the Eagles and Moose.
He is survived by his wife, Donna; four daughters, Lisa Dutton of Henderson, Elizabeth Carducci of Indiana and Angelina Carducci and Valerie Scrivner, both of Las Vegas; two sons, Tony Carducci of Henderson and Scott Scrivner of Las Vegas; two sisters, Angel Anderson of Henderson and Nora Krell of Overton; four brothers, Guy Carducci of Pahrump, Sam Carducci and John Carducci, both of Henderson, and Lou Carducci of Las Vegas; and eight grandchildren.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Chapel, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.
Ricky Jose Correa
Ricky Jose Correa, 2 months, died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born April 1, 2000, in Las Vegas.
He is survived by his mother, Vanessa Keeling, and his father, Ricky Jose Correa, both of Las Vegas; his grandparents, Raymond and Gloria Correa, and Richard Keeling, all of California, and Yolanda Keeling of Las Vegas; and his great-grandparents, Maria Galindo and Pasqula Correa, both of Santa Ana, Calif., and Angela Laca of California.
Visitation is scheduled 90 minutes prior to 10:30 a.m. services Wednesday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.
Ruth A. (Malone) Fink
Ruth A. (Malone) Fink, 63, of Kansas City, Mo., died Friday. A former Las Vegas resident, she was born Dec. 19, 1936, in Decaturville, Mo.
She is survived by three sisters, Louise Clark and Barbara Malone, both of Kansas City, and Judith Durk of Columbia, Mo.; and two brothers, Bill Malone of DeRidder, La., and Jerry Malone of Grandview, Mo.

Constance Venies Gorlovsky
Constance Venies Gorlovsky, 79, of Las Vegas died May 29 in Las Vegas. She was born July 13, 1920, in Wisconsin. A resident for many years, she was a casino industry clerk.
She is survived by her special friend, Paula Brown of Las Vegas; and six cousins, William Honeck of Muskego, Wis., William Fassbender of Hartford, Wis., Darlene Milliken of Sussex, Wis., John Honeck of LaCrosse, Wis., Milton Gorlovsky of Detroit and Roy Giudice of Balsam Lake, Wis.
A memorial service was scheduled at 11 a.m. today in the state room at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. A private burial will be in Memory Gardens.
Frank R. Hitt
Frank R. Hitt, 64, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 26, 1935, in Hillsboro, Ill. A resident for three years, he was a laborer for General Motors and a Korean War Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; two daughters, Earlisha Wood and Sanya Herdliska, and three sons, Steven Hitt, Eric Herdliska and Stanley Wood, all of California; one brother, Ralph Hitt of Oklahoma; and seven grandchildren.

Evelyn S. Johnson
Evelyn S. Johnson, 90, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local care center. She was born May 11, 1910, in Rock Springs, Wyo. A resident for nine years, she was a retired nurse.
She is survived by two daughters, Janet Johnson of Springville, Utah, and Margaret A. Johnson of Las Vegas; one son, James S. Johnson of Arvada, Colo.; one brother, Dr. Robert H. Syme of Alexandria, Va.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Additional visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 10 a.m. services Thursday in the LDS Kingwood Ward at Carl and Saylor Way.
The family suggests donations to the LDS Humanitarian Fund.

Marjorie J. Kehiaian, 79, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local care center. She was born Jan. 13, 1921, in Pittsburgh. A resident for eight years, she was a retired director of public relations in politics.
She is survived by two daughters, Kim Rakow of Las Vegas and Kerry Baidin of Ohio; one son, Dennis Kehiaian of Seattle; two brothers, William Forthman of Northridge, Calif., and Robert Forthman of Oakland, Calif.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

William P. Koenig
William P. Koenig, 85, of North Las Vegas died Saturday in a local health care center. He was born Jan. 13, 1915, in Milwaukee. A resident for almost 40 years, he was a retired railroad switchman, a Nevada Test Site employee and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by two brothers, Harold Koenig of Las Vegas and Rudolph Koenig of California.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 1 p.m. services Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Memorial Park.
Eleanore 'Ellie' Lamonte
Eleanore "Ellie" Lamonte, 60, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born July 11, 1939, in Los Angeles. A resident for 43 years, she was a real estate broker, a member for 33 years of the Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors and Woman of the Year from the Book of Good Deeds.
She is survived by her husband, Nick Sr.; three sons, Nick LaMonte Jr., Robert M. Lamonte Sr., and Jim Lamonte, two daughters, Lorraine Costello and Sherry DeMory, her mother, Eleanor McMahon, and one brother, Mark Tully Massagli, all of Las Vegas; and 12 grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. services Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Graveside services will be 12:30 p.m. Thursday in Memory Gardens.
Linda L. Lawhead
Linda L. Lawhead, 39, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born July 25, 1960, in Las Vegas. She was a resident for two years and a former cashier at an Oregon grocery store.
She is survived by two daughters, Jennifer C. Lawhead of The Dallas, Ore., and Alissa Lee Bowers of Las Vegas; her mother, Shirley Ann Morgan of Las Vegas; and one sister, Shirley Cimino of Portland, Ore.
Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m. Wednesday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Services will follow at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Davis Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Bobbie Jack Marcia
Bobbie Jack Marcia, 65, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 16, 1935, in Ennis, Texas. A resident for eight years, he was a retired glass-bottle blower.
He is survived by his wife, Arthora; three sons, Bobby Glen Marcia of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., Timothy Alan Marcia of Chino, Calif., and Eric Wesley Marcia of West Covina, Calif.; one sister, Ruby Netzley of Dana Point, Calif.; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Viola E. McIntosh
Viola E. McIntosh, 70, of North Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. She was born Feb. 2, 1930, in Solomon, Kan. A resident for 36 years, she was a homemaker and a member of Social Seniors in North Las Vegas.
She is survived by one daughter, LaTerria LeFever, and one son, Carl J. McIntosh, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Barbara Hale of Dwight, Kan.; one brother, Charles "Chink" Luck of Salina, Kan.; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 6-8 p.m. Thursday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Bunkers Chapel. Graveside services will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Charles E. Melcher
Charles E. Melcher, 88, of Las Vegas died May 25 in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 7, 1911, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 26 years, he was a physician, a retired Air Force veteran who served 26 years, a member of the Elks and the Air Force Officers Club.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille; two sons, Charles R. Melcher and Richard E. Melcher; one daughter, Connie Melcher; and four sisters, Marie Sterling, Marsh, Polly, and Florence Ferrence.
Graveside services were scheduled at 10 a.m. today in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Robert G. 'Rocky' Meranto
Robert G. "Rocky" Meranto, 76, of Las Vegas and Mount Charleston died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 5, 1923, in Niagara Falls, N.Y. A resident for 39 years, he was a retired casino dealer, a World War II Army veteran and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife, Rose L. Meranto of Mount Charleston; two daughters, Netta Jarrett of Cedar City, Utah, and Chris Loeb of Las Vegas; two sons, Bob Meranto and Jim Meranto, both of Las Vegas; two sisters, Vi Coniglio of Deerfield Beach, Fla., and Frances Villani of Las Vegas; six grandchildren and one great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. today with a vigil service following in Christ the King Church, 4925 S. Torrey Pines Drive. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Christ the King Church. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens. Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Harry Chandler North
Harry Chandler North, 71, of North Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 8, 1928, in Pasadena, Calif. A resident for 68 years, he was a retired electrician, a Korean War Army veteran, a member for 50 years of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 357, an FAA-rated pilot since 1945 who joined the Civil Air Patrol in 1944 as a cadet and was most recently a lieutenant colonel and squadron commander of the local unit for 22 years.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Lynn Motz North; one son, Steven C. North of Ederal Way, Wash.; two daughters, Karen L. Edwards and Jeanne K. Murphy, two brothers, Ertis North and Gene North, and one sister, LaVanta Burt, all of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will continue 7 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Chapel, Cheyenne.

Jonathan G. Pacheco, 53, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Boulder City. He was born May 3, 1947, in Los Angeles. A resident for seven years, he was a caregiver and a Vietnam War Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Margie; two daughters, Marion D. Pacheco of Los Alamitos, Calif., and one daughter, Susan Burcttee of Texas; one sister, Susie Uoua of Texas; and one grandchild.

Bobbie Jewel Pendleton
Bobbie Jewel Pendleton, 54, of Las Vegas died May 30 in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 11, 1946, in Pine Bluff, Ark. A resident for 32 years, she was a retired security sergeant.
She is survived by two sons, Larry Pendleton and Lanny Pendleton; one daughter, LaKeshia Lachelle Pendleton; her mother, Future Tolfree; three brothers, Inezspy, Jay and Todd; and two sisters, Toni and Terri.
Visitation was scheduled 11 a.m. today in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North, followed by burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Marilyn D. Rimer, 76, of Henderson died Sunday in Henderson. She was born Sept. 2, 1923, in Fairmont, N.C. A resident for 44 years, she was a retail clothing saleswoman for 30 years, a member of the Elks, Moose, Eagles and American Legion.
She is survived by her husband, Francis; one son, Jason Rimer of Henderson; four daughters, Sande Haynes of Dunnellon, Fla., Joann Gettings of Caliente, Kathy Haire of Las Vegas and Sheri Johnson of Orlando, Fla.; one stepson, Michael Lewis of Greensboro, N.C.; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She is survived by one daughter, Carol Martin of California; two brothers, Jimmy Salaz and Sam Salaz, both of Colorado; seven sisters, Sarah Herrera and Celia Ann Garcia, both of North Las Vegas, and Betty Quintana, Linda, Shirley, Peggy and Cathy, all of Colorado; and three grandchildren.

Joseph D. Thomas, 75, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born May 29, 1925, in New Haven, Conn. A resident for seven years, he was retired from the Hamden, Conn., school district and was a World War II and Korean War Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia K.; two sons, Joseph W. Thomas and John M. Thomas, both of Las Vegas; two daughters, Christina Rabello of Las Vegas and Clara Bryan of Starke, Fla.; two brothers, Mark Thomas of New York, and Thomas F. Thomas of Hamden; and four grandchildren.

Cedric Jerome Tiffith Jr., 16, of Las Vegas died May 29 in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 23, 1984, in Las Vegas.
He is survived by his mother, Sonji D. Williams, his father, Cedric J. Tiffith Sr., two brothers, David L. Williams and Kendrick R. Williams, two sisters, DeJunia M. Craft and Diamond B. Williams, and his grandparents, David L. Williams Sr., and his grandmother, Eliza Tiffith, all of Las Vegas.

Hugh Bedford Vanderbilt Sr.
Hugh Bedford Vanderbilt Sr., 79, of Greenwich, Conn., Palm Beach, Fla., and Canada, died Friday. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. An owner of Vanderbilt Minerals in Las Vegas, he was a World War II Army veteran who served in the battle of Iwo Jima while attached to the 5th Marine Division and served on the boards of the Greenwich Historical Society and Historic Deerfield.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Claire F.; one son, Hugh Jr.; two daughters, Linda and Laura; one brother, Robert T. of London; and five grandsons.

Hanna Zghaib, 59, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 25, 1941, in Syria. A resident for 11 years, he was a retired carpenter.
He is survived by his wife, Antoinette Aljat; three sons, Michael Zghaib of Syria, Edward Zghaib and Emil Zghaib, both of Las Vegas; three daughters, Ibtessam Boghos and Haim Yared, both of Las Vegas, and Shamiah Zghaib of Syria; one brother, George Zghaib of Syria; one sister, Debbie Zghaib of Lebanon; and 15 grandchildren.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today and 9 a.m.-noon Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in St. Michael's Orthodox Church, 5719 E. Judson Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
