Beasley Broadcast Group of Naples, Fla., agreed to buy six radio stations for $138 million from Centennial Broadcasting LLC of Winston-Salem, N.C., to expand to the Las Vegas and New Orleans markets.
Beasley, which seeks to maximize revenue by clustering groups of radio stations in the 100 biggest U.S. markets, will acquire Las Vegas stations KKLZ-FM, KSTJ-FM and KJUL-FM and three stations in New Orleans.
Chief Financial Officer Caroline Beasley said the company plans no immediate changes in Las Vegas, the 39th largest market. The three Las Vegas stations have a total 60 employees.
"The current operations are doing very well ... Las Vegas is one of the fastest growing markets for radio," she said.
The Las Vegas and New Orleans stations had revenues of about $15 million last year.
