No negotiations in Vegas concrete workers’ dispute

No negotiations were conducted over the weekend between the Teamsters Union and two big Las Vegas ready mix companies that locked out some 400 union cement truck drivers when their contract expired last week.
"There've been no calls or contact between the companies and the union negotiating teams over the past few days because we've been tied up in the legal process to get the temporary restraining order to allow us to remain working," said Ray Brown, spokesman for CSR and Nevada Ready Mix.
"We will continue to use replacement workers for the full extent of the lockout," he said.
The companies sued the Teamsters to obtain temporary restraining orders requiring union protesters to abide by the law after the companies said the Teamsters tried to disrupt the companies' operations.
