Art exhibits
The Las Vegas Art Museum will host a fund-raising reception to unveil the second installation of the "Asian Art Now 2000" from 7-10 p.m. Wednesday at the Las Vegas Art Museum, 9600 W. Sahara Ave. Reception admission is $75 per person. Admission to the exhibit is $3 for adults; $2 for seniors; $1 for students. Call 360-8000. The exhibit features 140 contemporary artists from Japan, Taiwan and Korea and runs through July 9.
The work of Russian jewelry designer Ilya Abelsky will be on display from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. today and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday at Only Diamonds, 501 S. Rainbow Blvd. The miniature egg exhibit will feature hand-crafted miniatures, including a one-of-a-kind "joker" egg designed exclusively for Las Vegas. Call 258-8700.
