Northern Trust Bank, a subsidiary of Chicago-based Northern Trust Corp., entered the Las Vegas market with a two-person office and plans to expand.
Operating as Northern Trust-Las Vegas, the office was opened as a trust and investment sales office and within six months officials will seek regulatory approval to expand to a full-service trust and thrift office.
The company's banking assets totaled $33.2 billion as of March 31. The company has subsidiaries or offices in 15 states, including Nevada, Arizona and California, and seven international locations.
The Las Vegas office, at Summerlin City Center West, 7251 W. Lake Mead Blvd., is the company's first Nevada location.
