Letter: Political events too predictable
Monday, July 31, 2000 | 8:05 a.m.
Although national politics used to excite me (I remember as a young man the 1960 Democratic National Convention, when the country didn't even know who the presidential candidate was going into it), it now is so scripted and predictable that it just doesn't provide us any of the spontaneity of the past.
