California man drowns in motel pool

A California man drowned at a Strip motel after falling into the guest pool.
The victim, 23, of Santa Ana, Calif., was visiting friends registered at the Tam O'Shanter Motel, across from the Treasure Island hotel-casino.
His body was noticed floating in the pool about 9:45 p.m. Friday.
Witnesses told Clark County Fire Department officials that the group had been drinking.
The man's name was not released, pending notification of relatives.
