WASHINGTON -- Sen. Richard Bryan will launch a kind of farewell tour of the state beginning Monday in Pahrump and ending Sept. 3 in Fallon.
This will mark the final annual tour of rural Nevada for the retiring senator. Bryan began the tradition when he was elected governor in 1982. Bryan staffers say that in his 12 years as senator Bryan has logged 30,000 miles by car and attended more than 225 town hall meetings.
"I plan to keep the same pace going out of office as I did coming in," said, Bryan, who added that he wants to thank Nevadans and to stress the importance of the upcoming election.
