Soria could get a no-parole life term for his role in the March 19 death of Krystal Steadman. Police found her nude body a day later, down a highway embankment about 20 miles from where she disappeared.
Soria's father, Thomas Soria Sr., remains charged with kidnapping, rape and murder, and prosecutors are seeking the death penalty in his case.
Jury selection for the father's trial will begin Jan. 17. He also faces a second trial later in 2001 for the alleged sexual assault of a 15-year-old girl.
