Irish-American chain entering LV with five restaurants

Irish American restaurant chain Bennigan's of Plano, Texas, plans to open five restaurants in Las Vegas and Henderson by 2005.
"Opportunity abounds in Las Vegas; it's one of the fastest growing markets in the country, and the Bennigan's brand will do very well there," said Doug Snyder, who stepped down as the company's franchising vice president and moved to Las Vegas to start Jacado LLC, which will be a Bennigan's franchisee.
Snyder, who grew Bennigan's franchising program to more than 80 restaurants worldwide, will partner with a franchisee, Rick Pastorek, president of Baton Rouge, La.-based BOL Inc., operator of six Bennigan's in south Louisiana. Chris Barnes, Bennigan's spokesman, said Jacado, which plans to open two restaurants by year-end in converted restaurant properties in Las Vegas and Henderson, is getting ready to close on the two existing restaurant properties there.
