Appeal filed in bottlecap case

The woman who lost a $1 million judgment in the squabble over ownership of a Pepsi contest bottle cap, said today she is appealing the decision by a Clark County District court jury.
Sindy Allen issued a news release that she was "taking all necessary procedures" to address Wednesday's decision that was in favor of her former co-worker, Judy Richardson Yeats.
"The jury didn't take the time necessary to understand what the question before them was and, in doing so, made a mistake," Allen said.
Although Allen did not say in a news release issued by her Las Vegas attorney Benson Lee that she said she would appeal the case, she did so on a national morning news talk show today. Also, a representative in Lee's office confirmed that an appeal will be made on Allen's behalf.
