Henderson company sold for $25 million to California firm

AllMeetings Corp., the Henderson-based owner of AllMeetings.com, has been sold to a publicly held California company for $25 million in cash and stock.
GetThere Inc., Menlo Park, acquired the company, which developed software that analyzes meeting costs, transportation, lodging, meals and other expense factors for meetings of up to 500 people.
The company was founded in 1997 by Glenn Bingham, who launched the site in May 1999 and redesigned it in October.
Bingham said today the company's approximately 50 employees would continue to maintain normal operations. He said GetThere has adopted a strategy of developing satellite operations to minimize costs at its Bay-area location.
GetThere operates an Internet marketplace focuses on business-to-business travel services. Among GetThere's clients are Cox Communications, Boeing, Chevron, Cisco, Nike and Xerox. Company officials said the integration of AllMeetings would take about a year to complete.
"This ... provides a new revenue opportunity for GetThere by creating a convenient alternative to handle meeting transactions online," said Gadi Maier, president and chief executive officer of GetThere Inc.
