Letter: Estate tax must be repealed
Wednesday, July 19, 2000 | 9:42 a.m.
Also, regarding your article on page 3A, "Estate tax repeal veto looms," we would like to thank the Republican and Democratic supporters, especially Sen. William Roth, R-Del., for his work in giving the American people the Roth IRA -- and more needs to be done to encourage people to save.
We think Roth truly has the welfare of the American people at heart, and if 70 percent of the people want the estate tax repealed and this is not done, then we shall veto every one of those senators who voted against the repeal in the next election as well as the administration that vetoed it.
