DES MOINES, Iowa -- Mechanics have been flown in to inspect a charter casino passenger jet that made an emergency landing.
The Boeing 737 carrying 118 people landed safely Tuesday night after reporting hydraulic problems. The plane, operated by Elko, Nev.-based Casino Express, landed without incident at the Des Moines International Airport shortly after 7:30 p.m., airport spokesman Michael Audino said.
There were no injuries.
The plane was bound for Elko after taking off from Bloomington, Ill. Audino said the plane remained at the airport Wednesday morning.
"The charter company brought another plane in last night with mechanics and took the passengers away," he said.
Audino said he did not know the specifics of the mechanical problems. A telephone call to Casino Express on this morning wasn't answered.
