Frank Boyd

Frank Boyd, 76, of Las Vegas died Saturday Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 10, 1923, in Nowata, Okla. A resident for 38 years, he was a retired Navy veteran.

He is survived by one son, Michael John Boyd; and one daughter, Linda Boyd.

Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

The family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society, 1325 E. Harmon Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89119.

Joseph E. Cohoat

Joseph E. Cohoat, 78, of North Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born May 12, 1922, in Pennsylvania. A resident for three years, he was a district manager for a TV repair business and a Navy veteran.

He is survived by three daughters, Marsha Bradbury of Granada Hills, Calif., Linda Cohoat of Glendale, Calif., and Janice Pearsall of Yukon, Okla.; one son, Mark Cohoat; two sisters, Mary Koleman and Anna Gregus, both of Pennsylvania; and nine grandchildren.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Newhall, Calif. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Marcelo 'Larry' 'Siloy' Crail

Marcelo "Larry" "Siloy" Crail, 77, of Camarillo, Calif., died Thursday in Camarillo. He was born Feb. 18, 1923, in the Philippines. A former Las Vegas resident for seven years, he was a retired control operator for an electric company.

He is survived by two daughters, Patricia Collette of Henderson and June Alexander of Camarillo; three sons, Marcelo Jr. of Waipahu, Hawaii, and Brian Crail and Darrel Crail, both of Nanakuli, Hawaii; three brothers, Gordon Crail, Escarion Crail and Albert Crail, all of Ewa, Hawaii; two sisters, Rudy Crail of Lawai, Hawaii, and Lucy Johnson of Souderton, Pa.; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Yvonne Annette Dally

Yvonne Annette Dally, 60, of Overton died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 18, 1939, in Chicago. A Nevada resident for 28 years, she was home-health caregiver.

She is survived by her husband, Herb; three sons, Daniel Vainisi, Michael Vainisi and Joseph Vainisi; three daughters, Kim LaSalvia, Deborah Wagner and Michelle Davis; one brother, Peter Dufore; one sister, Donna Denello; 17 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Neptune Society of Nevada, 8570 Del Webb Blvd., is handling private arrangements.

Mary Ann Hastings

Mary Ann Hastings, 72, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born May 23, 1928, in Missouri. A resident for 63 years, she was a hotel housekeeper.

She is survived by three daughters, Mary Hastings, Sandra Smith and Joann La Count; one brother, Herman Fisher; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Stephen Huisenfeldt

Stephen Huisenfeldt, 67, of Henderson died Saturday in Henderson. He was born March 22, 1933, in Green Bay, Wis. A resident for 30 years, he was a retired real estate broker, a Vietnam War Air Force veteran and a member of the River Rats and Roadrunners.

He is survived by one son, Stephen Huisenfeldt Jr. of Las Vegas; one daughter, Tanya Tumminia of Henderson; one sister, Mary Ellen Kubsch of Denmark, Wis.; and one brother, Bob Huisenfeldt of Green Bay.

Visitation is scheduled 2 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. services Wednesday in Christ the King Church, 4925 S. Torrey Pines Drive. Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday in Christ the King Church. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Charles Isler

Charles Isler, 93, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. He was born April 28, 1907, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 41 years, he was a Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Reba; one son, Toby S. Isler; one daughter, Ires J. Morris; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Merle Jacobs

Merle Jacobs, 95, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. He was born Jan. 11, 1905, in Cleveland. A resident for 41 years, he was a retired entertainment director, a member of the Cleveland Musicians Union for 80 years and a member of Culinary Local 226.

He is survived by his wife, Kathryn; one daughter, Catherine Jacobs of Las Vegas; one son, Jon Jacobs of Los Angeles; and one grandson.

Mildred Lawrence

Mildred Lawrence, 87, of Las Vegas died Friday. She was born Feb. 28, 1913, in Jersey City, N.J. A resident for six years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Marie Bartolotta and Laura Woods, both of Las Vegas; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation is private. Burial will be in California. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Anita Luoang

Anita Luoang, 74, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 30, 1925, in the Philippines. A resident for six years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by four daughters, Mary Ann Medina and Juneten Mar, both of Los Angeles, Alice Luo of San Diego and Biana Luoang of Pittsburgh; two sons, Alex Luoang and Kris Luoang, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Daisy Salve, and one brother, Picar Combaas, both of the Philippines; and four grandchildren.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Mary B. March, 88, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 22, 1912, in New York City. A resident for 10 years, she was a retired key punch operator.

She is survived by two sons, William March of Chatsworth, Calif., and James March of Bellflower, Calif.; one brother, Steve Bellows of Sarasota, Fla.; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Josephine Crisanti Miranti

Josephine Crisanti Miranti, 83, of Great Falls, Mont., died Saturday in Great Falls. She was born April 7, 1917, in Chicago. A former Las Vegas resident from 1963 to 1997, she was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, and one son, Joseph.

She is survived by one son, Vincent Miranti of Great Falls; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Burial will be in Palm Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

William Richard Oskin

William Richard Oskin, 49, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 1, 1950, in Allison Park, Pa. A recent resident, he was a marketing manager in the health care industry and a Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Jean; one son, Christopher Oskin of St. Petersburg, Fla.; his mother, Jane Patat, and one sister, Rebecca Patat, both of New Hampshire; and one grandchild.

Scott L. Peterson

Scott L. Peterson, 42, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born May 17, 1958, in Idaho. A lifelong resident, he was a swimming pool maintenance man.

He is survived by two sons, Brandon Peterson and Tyler Hill, one daughter, Breanne Peterson, his parents, Leonard and Madge Peterson, and one sister, Vickie Breyfogle, all of Las Vegas; and two brothers, Bradley Peterson of Las Vegas and Rodney Peterson of Boise, Idaho.

A memorial service was scheduled at 2 p.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial was to be private.

Helen Pinon

Helen Pinon, 42, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 18, 1920, in Mount Harris, Colo. A resident for 42 years, she was a right-of-way agent for a public utility.

She is survived by her husband, Zip; one son, Randy Hoopingarner of Reno; three daughters, Rosemarie Conrad, Joyce Jones and Gloria Lee, one sister, Marjorie Morris, and one brother, Joe Wickman, all of Las Vegas; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

John Schmidt, 75, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 30, 1924, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 50 years, he was a bartender.

He is survived by one son, Tommy Schmidt; one brother, Richard; three sisters, Teresa, Helen and Lillian; his caretaker, Marlene Flynn; and two grandchildren.

Thomas Shoen

Thomas Shoen, 76, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. A superintendent in the construction industry and an Army veteran, he was born Feb. 7, 1924, in California.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie; three daughters, Sharon Freeburne of Medford, Ore., Karen Duff of Export, Pa., and Jackie Domshine of Henderson; one son, Gary Taylor of Woodland Park, Colo.; one sister, Jerry Groover of Dana Point, Calif.; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 11 a.m. services Wednesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. A private burial will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Diana Joy Splean

Diana Joy Splean, 52, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 17, 1947, in Massachusetts. A resident for eight years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Steven; two daughters, Bernadette Olsen and Loretta Sparks, both of Las Vegas; her father, Richard of Sacramento; one brother, Richard Goodwin of Utah; three sisters, Robin Mitchell of Sacramento, Peggy McConnell of Kansas and Jeanne Sterland of England; and four grandchildren.

Sylvia Turko, 66, of Henderson died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born March 15, 1934, in Pittsburgh. A resident for 18 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Paul; two daughters, Deborah A. Pietrzak of Pittsburgh and Paula Jo Skied of Florida; one brother, Frank Bouma; one sister, Delores Rimmel.

Luke Clarence Walla

Luke Clarence Walla, 75, of Searchlight died Sunday in a local hospice. He was born March 22, 1925, in Illinois. A resident for 30 years, he was a gaming supervisor, an Army veteran and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and the Eagles.

He is survived by two daughters, Valerie Somerville and Patti Kozak; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Donald E. Walters

Donald E. Walters, 54, of Las Vegas died July 9 in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 19, 1945, in Indiana. A resident for 10 years, he was a retail clerk.

He is survived by one son, Donnie Walters, and one daughter, Christie Hudak, both of Las Vegas; two brothers, Jack Walters of Henderson and Robert Walters of California; and two grandchildren.

He is survived by one son, Donald Zerfas of Las Vegas; one daughter, Elaine Mathews of Indiana; two sisters, Hilda Lynch of California and Helen Rising of Detroit; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
