* Catcher Carlos Hernandez was placed on the 15-day disabled list on Thursday by the San Diego Padres, who also recalled right-handed reliever Carlos Almanzar from Las Vegas while demoting right-hander Carlos Reyes. Anticipating that Hernandez would be sidelined, the Padres recalled Ben Davis from the Stars on Saturday.
