Lillian Adeska

Lillian Adeska, 85, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. She was born March 7, 1915, in the Bronx, N.Y. A resident for four years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Roberta Glovin of Las Vegas; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Irving E. Berger

Irving E. Berger, 73, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born April 15, 1927, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 51 years, he was a retired driving school owner.

He is survived by two daughters, Helen Smith and Beth Gambardella, one son, Brian Berger, and two brothers, Artie Berger and Ralph Berger, all of Las Vegas; and five grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 10:30-11 a.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

George E. Braddock VI

George E. Braddock VI, 66, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born June 27, 1934, in Peoria, Ill. A resident for seven years, he was a retired insurance salesman and a member of the T-Bird Club of Nevada.

He is survived by his wife, Winifred M.; two daughters, Laura Rehfeldt and Charlotte Braddock, both of Las Vegas; one son, George E. Braddock VII of Salem, Wis.; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 2 p.m. services Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Graveside services will follow at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Mario Pedro Cruz

Mario Pedro Cruz, 79, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 19, 1920, in Mexico. A resident for many years, he was a laborer.

No local services are scheduled. Burial was private. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Yolanda Dezern

Yolanda Dezern, 68, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born March 2, 1932, in New York City. A resident for five years, she was a retired casino gift shop sales clerk.

She is survived by four daughters, Cynthia Findlay and Mary Hernandez, both of Wolcott, Conn., Debra Vasquez of Las Vegas and Nina Gallagher of Henderson; three sisters, Matilda Romanelli and Sylvia Crocker, both of Waterbury, Conn., and Adeline Codianne of Wolcott; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 8 a.m. until noon services Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Karen M. Dillard-Jackson

Karen M. Dillard-Jackson, 43, of Henderson died Tuesday in Henderson. She was born Jan. 18, 1957, in Merced, Calif. A resident for 23 years, she was a hairstylist.

She is survived by her husband, James Jackson; one daughter, Asjalon Jackson of Las Vegas; two sons, Reginald Dillard and Towan Butler, and her mother, Lillian Seymour, all of Henderson; three sisters, Kim Scott of Henderson and Tausha Scarlett and Debbie Wyatt, both of Huntington Beach, Calif.; and three grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 5 p.m. today in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service.

Ronald D. Greeson

Ronald D. Greeson, 68, of Henderson died Thursday in a local hospice. He was born April 30, 1932, in Lakin, Kan. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired real estate broker.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred; two daughters, Rhonda Greeson and Michelle Slack, both of Henderson; one son, Steven Greeson of Las Vegas; one sister, Thelma Krug, and one brother, Keith Greeson, both of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and three grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled noon-2 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday in Palm Chapel, Eastern.

Mary Katherine Hofsteden, 81, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. A customer service representative for TWA, she was born Dec. 15, 1918, in Chile.

She is survived by one daughter, Geraldine of California; one brother, John Whetmore of Santa Monica, Calif.; and three grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 9:30 a.m. in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Billie Linn

Billie Linn, 76, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born June 22, 1924, in Detroit. A resident for 10 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Thomas; one daughter, Debera Bunch of Elk River, Minn.; two brothers, Donald Coutts of Trenton, Mich., and Jacque Coutts of Newbury Park, Calif.; and one grandchild.

Gina Madrid, 10, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 26, 1989, in Chula Vista, Calif.

She is survived by her parents, Rebeca and Patrick Phea, and one sister, Judy Madrid, all of Las Vegas; and her grandparents, Jerry and Maria Garland of Las Vegas and Clinton and Betty Phea of Tyler, Texas.

Florence S. McCallum

Florence S. McCallum, 95, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. She was born June 30, 1905, in Dunkirk, Ind. A resident for six years, she was a retired secretary.

She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Hanson of Livonia, Mich., and Linda Nietsch of Las Vegas; one sister, Juanita Brown of Chicago; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Mae L. Moran, 86, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 29, 1913, in Perryville, Mo. A resident for 35 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Pam Downey, and one son, Ken Moran, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Blanche Loberg of Perryville, Mo.; one brother, Dewey Barks of Marquand, Mo.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 10 a.m. services Tuesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Julie Marie Mumford

Julie Marie Mumford, 31, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born May 30, 1969, in Reno. A resident for 15 years, she was a hospitality industry employee.

She is survived by her mother, Patricia Stanley of Michigan; her father, Gary Mumford, and her fiance, Steve Fox, both of Las Vegas; her grandmother, Adina Fort, and her step-grandfather, Richard Fort, both of Salinas, Calif.

Herbert R. Nelson

Herbert R. Nelson, 57, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born July 29, 1942, in Jersey City, N.J. A resident for five years, he was a retired railroad engineer and a retired member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Engineers.

He is survived by two daughters, Lori Lubert of Plainsboro, N.J., and Diane Nelson of Union, N.J.; one son, Gregg Nelson of Las Vegas; one sister, Maryellen Applegate of New Jersey; and one grandchild.

American Cremation and Burial Services, 310 Foremaster Lane is handling arrangements.

Beverly Ripley

Beverly Ripley, 65, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local health care center. She was born Aug. 19, 1934, in Dallas. A resident for 10 months, she was a retired finance manager.

She is survived by her husband, Phillip; three sons, Gary Lea of Las Vegas, Eric Lea of Avon, Colo., and Brad Lea of Iola, Kan.; one sister, Barbara Vinson of Mountain View, Calif.; and eight grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 12:30 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Israel Rubinstein

Israel Rubinstein, 72, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. He was born Aug. 11, 1927, in Tel Aviv, Israel. A resident for four years, he was a retired real estate executive and a veteran of the Israeli Army.

He is survived by his wife, Ahuva; two daughters, Daphne and Sandy, and one son, Ron, all of California; one sister, Rivka of New Jersey; one brother, Efraim of Israel; and four grandchildren.

Graveside services were scheduled at 3 p.m. today in Woodlawn Cemetery. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., handled arrangements.

Benjamin L. Staton

Benjamin L. Staton, 73, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born May 9, 1927, in Chicago. A resident for 10 years, he was an auditor at A&P food company.

He is survived by three sons, Benjamin Staton of Katy, Texas, and Charles Staton and Michael Staton, both of Chicago; three daughters, Mary Lou Taylor of Bartlett, Ill., Suzanne Bernardi of Galena, Ill., and Penny O'Leary of Chicago; one brother, Donald; three sisters, Marilyn, Charlene and Carolyn; and 10 grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3-5 p.m. Sunday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be in Chicago.

James Strawn

James Strawn, 70, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born May 19, 1930, in Chicago. A resident for 30 years, he was a retired civil service supervisor and a Korean War Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred J.; one daughter, Peggy Jo Strawn, and two sons, Tony Strawn and David Strawn, all of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.

Services will be 3:30 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Elmer Wear

Elmer Wear, 83, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born May 4, 1917, in Denver. A resident for 38 years, he was a retired carpenter and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Eileen; and two daughters, Joyce Hurt and Gayle Chance, both of Las Vegas.

Dorothy Williams

Dorothy Williams, 75, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born April 13, 1925, in Louann, Ark. A resident for 43 years, she was a retired grocery clerk.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Harold.

She is survived by three daughters, Linda Kay Harrison and Brenda Smith, both of Henderson, and Ronda Tucker of Las Vegas; one brother, James Burch, and one sister, Alene Crilly, both of Alabama; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Raymond K.S. Wong

Raymond K.S. Wong, 44, of Las Vegas died July 7 in Las Vegas. A resident for 20 years, he was born Feb. 8, 1956, in Hong Kong.

He is survived by his mother, Jolly Wong of Hawaii; and one sister, Angela of Phoenix.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. services Saturday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will be private.
