Harrah's Entertainment Inc. of Las Vegas was named the fourth-best company for information technology professionals by Computerworld, an industry newspaper.
The top five ranking was the second in a row for Harrah's, which was the only gaming company to make the top 100 in the past two years. The annual survey focuses on companies which excel in finding and retaining top IT talent.
Harrah's was included in the top five with the Home Depot Inc., chemicals manufacturer Cabot Corp., Federal Express Corp. and Texas Instruments Inc.
"The recruitment and retention of highly qualified and motivated professionals have enabled us to capitalize on state-of-the-art IT tools we've assembled in building the leading consumer-marketing company in the gaming industry," said Harrah's Chairman and Chief Executive Phil Satre.
