LAKE MEAD: Fishing continues to be very good for striped bass and channel catfish while the action for largemouth bass has slowed as the fish have taken to deep water, according to the Nevada Division of Wildlife.
Stripers are being found at depths of 40 to 70 feet and are being caught with anchovies, sardines and squid. Some of the better action in the Boulder Basin has been coming from Swallow Cove, Gypsum Wash and Sand Island.
Boaters who have been fishing in the Virgin Basin have had some success for stripers at Bonelli Bay and Middle Point. Three anglers who were fishing from a boat last week caught 38 small stripers at the Meat Hole in the Overton Arm.
