Vincent J. D'Amico
Vincent J. D'Amico, 85, of Henderson died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 14, 1914, in Chicago. A resident for two years, he was a retired supervisor at a sheet metal factory and a member of Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife, Violet; one son, Steven D'Amico of Prospect, Ill.; two daughters, Bonnie Stuerhoff of Las Vegas and Lea Eck of Battle Ground, Wash.; one brother, Carman D'Amico of Orland Park, Ill.; one sister, Josephine Krengle of Huntington Beach, Calif.; and four grandchildren.
Services were scheduled at 1 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial was private.
The family suggests donations to the Alzheimer's Disease Association, 3441 W. Sahara Ave., Suite A-8, Las Vegas, NV 89101.
H. Frank Darr
H. Frank Darr, 69, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 23, 1930, in St. Joseph, Mo. A resident for 28 years, he was a retired owner-operator of a construction company, an Army veteran, a member of the Zelzah Shrine Temple, Masons and York Rite Bodies.
He is survived by his wife, Kay; three daughters, Catherine Luce of Las Vegas, Cynthia Penner of Fallon and Cecelia Witman of Rutherford, N.C.; one son, Eric Darr of Las Vegas; one brother, Walter Darr of Deer Park, Texas; one sister, Shirley Balkcom of Silver Springs, Texas; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will be private.
The family suggests donations to Zelzah Shrine Temple Transportation Fund, 2222 W. Mesquite Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89106.
Otis Hayes Hensley
Otis Hayes Hensley, 84, of Henderson died Saturday in Henderson. He was born Feb. 27, 1916, in Arkansas. A resident for many years, he was a welder.
He is survived by his wife, Venie; two daughters, Juanita Perry of Las Vegas and Barbara Chaires of Henderson; two sisters, Ella Renfro and Stella Strandeald, both of Washington state; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was scheduled 4 p.m. today in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Services and burial will be in California.
Florence Stowers
Florence Stowers, 96, of Henderson died June 1 in Henderson. A seamstress, she was born Jan. 11, 1904, in Oklahoma.
She is survived by three nieces, Penny Brunner of Goleta, Calif., Leta Vickey of Montgomery, Texas, and Pamela Linder of Yucca Valley, Calif.
Services were scheduled at 10 a.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North.
