Child in foster care craves a summer camp opportunity

One 10-year-old boy in foster care would love to go to summer camp. His guardian said he would really benefit from camp experience. His social skills are poor and he needs the positive interaction with other children in a relaxed and comfortable environment.
He could also benefit from exposure to positive role models who show him how to treat others with respect. The lessons learned at summer camp and the friends made can provide a lasting influence on children.
Not all children have parents who can afford to send them to camp. Contributions to the Sun Camp Fund give children throughout the Las Vegas Valley the opportunity to go to summer camp.
