Corporations raise $11,000 for the poor

Mortgage professionals recently raised $11,000 for Christmas in April, a nonprofit organization that rehabilitates homes of low-income persons.
Organizations participating in the Millennium Holiday Extravaganza included the Association for Professional Mortgage Women, the Appraisal Institute, Nevada Association of Mortgage Brokers, Southern Nevada Mortgage Bankers Association, private mortgage insurance companies and title insurance companies.
Melinda Ramberg of Radian Guaranty Inc. presented the check to Tonya Brum, executive director of Christmas in April, at the organization's recent kickoff breakfast. Volunteers from area corporations, community groups and Nellis Air Force Base will renovate 30 homes throughout the Las Vegas Valley on the last Saturday in April.
Diamond sponsors were: Fidelity National Title, First American Title, First Franklin, GE Capital Mortgage Insurance Company, Lawyers Title, Land Title of Nevada, North American Mortgage, Old Kent/Republic Mortgage, PMI, Radian Guaranty Inc. and United Title.
Gold sponsors were: Countrywide, GB Home Equity, MGIC, NVAMB, RMIC/Republic Mortgage Insurance Company, SNMBA and UGI.
Silver sponsors were: APMW, Great Western Financial Services and Lender's Credit/Info 1.
Bronze sponsors were: CBC, Colonial/Union Planters, Crossland Mortgage, First American Real Estate and Trinity Mortgage.
