Churchill County Sheriff Bill Lawry said dental records confirmed the victim as 21-year-old Alice Sin. The Pinole, Calif., woman was reported missing on Nov. 21.
The woman's body was found Tuesday about four miles northeast of the interstate by two people looking for mining claims. An autopsy showed she died of multiple gunshot wounds.
Meanwhile, police in Pinole said Sin was four months pregnant and had been living with her 28-year-old boyfriend, Raymond Wong.
Wong was being sought for questioning.
Pinole Police Lt. Phil Pollard said that Sin had listed Wong as beneficiary on a life-insurance policy she applied for, but he couldn't say if that insurance policy was in force at the time of her death.
