Letter: Forget the party: Help each other
Thursday, Jan. 27, 2000 | 10:06 a.m.
It would, however, be good if they came to the aid of their fellow man, and forget the party, whose only objective in life is money and/or greed.
They, the men of the party, can only see as far as the corporate interests of this country will allow. Or have you all not seen or heard of the latest mergers.
It overwhelms me to know that in the not too distant future my way of life and that of many others will be determined by CEOs who formerly lived on college campuses slopping up beer and indulging in panty raids.
While they are telling us how to live, they are collecting salaries beyond reason, not to forget stock options and bonuses wherein we create another millionaire.
Do these men, some becoming our beloved politicians, think we are all stupid? You bet. And more than likely we will go on buying all their garbage.
I would not give anyone of them a glass of water if their house was on fire.
