Sprint selling stake for $1.4 billion

WESTWOOD, Kan. -- Sprint Corp. today said it will sell its stake in the Global One venture to existing partners France Telecom SA and Deutsche Telekom AG for $1.4 billion.
Sprint, the dominant local phone company in Las Vegas, has agreed to be purchased by MCI WorldCom Inc. Sprint plans to sell MCI WorldCom's global services instead of those offered by Global One.
