Neil Bailey

Neil Bailey, 87, of Boulder City died Monday in Boulder City. He was born Dec. 2, 1912, in Michigan. A resident for 20 years, he was a truck driver and a veteran.

He is survived by two brothers, Lloyd Bailey of Comins, Mich., and Chester Bailey of Michigan.

Burial will be in Reno. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Margie K. Beaver

Margie K. Beaver, 80, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born April 3, 1923, in West Virginia. A resident for 39 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Bryan; one son, Bryan Robert Beaver, one daughter, Beverly Thompson, and one brother, Bill Rockwell, all of Las Vegas; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, handled private arrangements. Burial was in Memory Gardens.

Mary Grace Brady-Meek

Mary Grace Brady-Meek, 77, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born March 3, 1922, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 1 1/2 years, she was a receptionist/secretary.

She is survived by one son, David Brady of Youngstown, Ohio; and one daughter, Dianne Brady-Fernandez.

Burial will be in Ohio. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Thelma Brown

Thelma Brown, 56, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born June 27, 1942, in Silver Creek, Miss. A resident for more than 40 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Jackson and Carolyn Fletcher, both of Las Vegas; seven sisters, Mattie Lou Love, Geri McCollum, Willene Spikes and Ina Louise Porter, all of San Diego, Elizabeth Horton of South Carolina and Gwendolyn Ann Bryant and Julia Florence Lewis, both of Silver Creek; one brother, Wilmer Spikes Jr. of Sacramento; and four grandchildren.

Services were scheduled at 11 a.m. today in Greater Bethal Church. Burial followed in Eden Vale Memorial Park. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, handled arrangements.

Floyd E. Carver

Floyd E. Carver, 91, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. He was born Feb. 8, 1908, in Oneida, Iowa. A resident for 47 years, he was a retired aircraft mechanic for the federal government and an Air Force veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Clara Gustafson of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.

Visitation was scheduled 1-3 p.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Graveside services are scheduled at 11 a.m. Thursday in Eden Vale Memorial Park.

John Conway

John Conway, 96, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 3, 1903, in Ithaca, N.Y. A resident for 69 years, he was a salesman, a member of the 20-30 Club, charter member of the Desert Inn Country Club, officer of Bishop Gorman High School Boosters Club, a board member of the Department of Parks and Recreation and County Solicitation.

He is survived by one son, John M. Conway of Reno; and one daughter, Karen S. Nemetz of California.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Thursday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home. Burial will be in Reno.

James Charles Coughlin Sr.

James Charles Coughlin Sr., 67, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born March 29, 1932, in Jewett City, Conn. A resident for 29 years, he was an aircraft mechanic for Trans World Airways for more than 25 years, a Korean War Air Force veteran, a member of the American Legion and the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Union.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara K.; two sons, Timothy L. Coughlin of Henderson and James C. Coughlin Jr. of Las Vegas; two daughters, Kathleen M. Deuel of Henderson and Colleen M. Wiegand of Las Vegas; four brothers, Richard Coughlin Jr., Raymond Coughlin, Robert Coughlin and Arthur Coughlin, and two sisters, Dorothy Haskell and Janice Jolin, all of Connecticut; and three grandchildren.

Services were scheduled at 11:30 a.m. today in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, followed by burial in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Thomas Dahlstrom

Thomas Dahlstrom, 64, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 22, 1935, in Turlock, Calif. A resident for 23 years, he was a nuclear physicist and a Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Ursula; one daughter, Svenja Dahlstrom of Las Vegas; two sons, Christian Dahlstrom of Ventura, Calif., and Gabe Dahlstrom of Seattle; one brother, Doug Dahlstrom of Livermore, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4 p.m. until a 7 p.m. service Thursday in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Fredo Gomez

Fredo Gomez, 72, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 25, 1927, in Carlin. A lifelong Nevada resident, he was a retired chemical company foreman and a Korean War Navy veteran.

He is survived by two sisters, Lucille Rodela of Las Vegas and Lena Torres of Henderson; and 12 nieces and nephews.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Friday with a 6:30 p.m. service in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Peter's Catholic Church, 204 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

Henry Charles Hahn

Henry Charles Hahn, 83, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born April 1, 1916, in Allentown, Pa. A resident for many years, he was an electrician for the Pennsylvania school district, an Army Air Corps veteran, a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly J.; one daughter, Peggy Druckenmiller; one brother, John E. Hahn; two grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be noon Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Mary Walden Hartman

Mary Walden Hartman, 81, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born March 12, 1918, in Davenport, Iowa. A resident for 33 years, she was a retired hotel housekeeper.

She is survived by one son, Roger Walden of Las Vegas; two sisters, Gladys Grimm of Blue Grass, Iowa, and Jane Shumaker of Tipton, Iowa; one brother, Clyde Gless of Davenport, Iowa; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Margie D. Hoffman

Margie D. Hoffman, 79, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born April 26, 1920, in Buffalo, N.Y. A resident for 10 years, she was a retired waitress.

She is survived by two daughters, Virginia Reed of Las Vegas and Joanne Hoffman of Buffalo; three sons, Edward Hoffman of Las Vegas and Francis Hoffman Jr. and Richard Hoffman, both of Buffalo; 19 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Mark Steven Hottel, 32, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born April 13, 1967, in Las Vegas. A resident for 28 years, he was a casino warehouseman.

He is survived by his wife, Wendy; one daughter, Jessica of Las Vegas; his parents, William and Ruth of California; one brother, William of Las Vegas; two sisters, Cynthia Hottel of Las Vegas and Cheryl Meibos of California.

Elsie Ruth Houllahan

Elsie Ruth Houllahan, 86, of North Las Vegas died Sunday in a local health care center. She was born Jan. 7, 1914, in Silver City, N.M. A resident for 20 years, she was a retired hotel porter.

She is survived by three daughters, Judith Anderson of North Las Vegas, Patty Grue of Camarillo, Calif., and Mary Arellin of Silver City; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She is survived by two daughters, Shirley J. Blake and Debbie Johnson, and two sons, Richard A. Kidder and Gary L. Kidder, all of Las Vegas; two sisters, Opal McGrew of Washington state and Genice Steele of San Jose, Calif.; one brother, Jack Lee of Washington; and six grandchildren.

Annie Margaret McDougle, 89, of North Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 23, 1910, in Lee County, Mo. A resident for 25 years, she was a retired cook.

She is survived by two daughters, Irene Mitchell of North Las Vegas and Ethel M. Virgil of Las Vegas; three sons, Willie Brown of Las Vegas, James Farrell of Indianapolis and Larry Brown of New York City; two sisters, Ethel M. Fletcher of Las Vegas and Alice Banks of Cincinnati; 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Paul James McKay

Paul James McKay, 71, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. He was born Feb. 12, 1928, in Brighton, Colo. A resident for 12 years, he was a retired plasterer and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy; three daughters, Robyn Loggins of Morro Bay, Calif., Patricia Traub of Tempe, Ariz., and Barbara Robinson of Las Vegas; three brothers, Ted McKay of Reno, Roy McKay of Lakewood, Colo., and Ed Ulrich of Brighton, Colo.; three sisters, Rose Lightle of Brush, Colo., Letty Langbein of Granite City, Ill., and Marie Horth of Fort Collins, Colo.; and four grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Luther; one daughter, Linda Kay Leavitt; three sons, Lemuil Craven Jr. and Johnny Craven, both of Texas, and J.W. Craven Sr. of Las Vegas; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Alyce; two daughters, Sonya Gram of Las Vegas and Gigi Oram of Kansas City, Mo.; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Doris; two daughters, Samagra Melville of Maui, Hawaii, and Sonia McAlister of San Diego; one son, Rick Schmidt of Beaverton, Ore.; one stepson, Rocky Miller of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.

Dr. Arthur W. Schoeller, 86, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local convalescent hospital. He was born Aug. 18, 1913, in Milwaukee. A resident for six years, he was a retired professor emeritus at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee and a Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Anna; two sons, Jerry of Las Vegas and Dale of Madison, Wis.; one sister, Dorothy Piel of Milwaukee; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
