ATLANTIC CITY -- A vicious winter storm making its way up the East Coast kept many people out of Atlantic City's casinos Tuesday -- and stranded others in the Boardwalk's resorts.
Most casino buses were unable to navigate the roads in and out of Atlantic City Tuesday, keeping most daytrippers out of the city, the Press of Atlantic City reported. Those daytrippers who made it into the city prior to the storms found themselves stranded overnight.
Still, the casinos managed to draw some traffic from home-bound locals trying to make it through the storm.
"Since I live across the street, I came to play a little bit," Atlantic City resident Glen Turner told the Press at the Tropicana. "There is nothing else to do. Nothing."
Atlantic City International Airport recorded 8.3 inches of snow during Tuesday's snowfall.
