Flood data added to citizens website
In an effort to educate the public about the danger of flash flooding a new type of data has been added to the Clark County Regional Flood Control District's website.
Rainfall data has been added so that citizens can gauge the chances of a flash flood when it rains. "Although the news media has always had direct online access to the real-time rainfall data, we felt it was vital to make the same information available to the public," Flood Control District General Manager Gale Fraser said. "Now anyone with the Internet access can go online and find out how much rain has fallen in their neighborhood as well as across town."
The information can be found on the web site at www.ccrfcd.org.
