University officials asked for a review of the dormitories following last week's fatal dormitory fire at Seton Hall University. Three students were killed.
Assistant State Fire Marshal Bryon Slobe said students at the halls are as safe if not safer as they would be at home.
The dormitories do have smoke and heat-detection systems, and university officials said they plan to install sprinklers when funding is available, possibly next year.
