Treatment for compulsive gamblers
Southern Nevada Adult Mental Health Services is offering a free lecture on "Compulsive Gambling: Research, Legislation and Treatment," by Rob Hunter, Ph.D.
The talk is slated to run from 6-7 p.m. Feb. 2 at 6161 W. Charleston Blvd., Building 1, Multipurpose Room. For more information, call 486-6223.

An Internet class is being offered at 6 p.m. Feb. 2 at the North Las Vegas Library, 2300 Civic Center Drive.

LV Census Bureau hosting open house
The Las Vegas Census Office is hosting an open house from 10-11 a.m. Friday at 600 Las Vegas Blvd. South, Suite 500.

Lake Mead presents guided hikes, talks
Guided hikes and informative talks are offered by the Lake Mead National Recreation Area free at the park's Alan Bible Visitor Center northeast of Boulder City. Reservations are required for the guided hikes. Call 293-8990.
