Eleven former Rite Aid truck drivers in Las Vegas sued Rite Aid Corp. of Camp Hill, Pa., alleging they were wrongfully terminated after the nation's third-largest drugstore chain acquired Thrifty Payless Holdings Inc. in 1996.
The plaintiffs are George Dauphin, Clinton Heck, Brenda Jackson, James Jackson, James Hones, Charles Keeran, Darrin Keithley, John Kitchen, Bob Mueller, Kalyn Nagel and Jeffrey Smith.
They said they were terminated on Jan. 18, 1998.
In a Clark County District Court suit, the plaintiffs, all of whom are Las Vegas residents hired between 1990 and 1996 to deliver prescription drugs and general merchandise to Rite Aid's retail stores, alleged they were verbally promised they wouldn't be fired except for just cause.
Rite Aid's legal counsel declined comment.
