CitiLife available to fewer

CitiLift riders will have to be recertified to use the service under a plan approved Friday by the Regional Transportation Commission.
"I hear a lot in the public that eligibility should be tightened," RTC Chairman John Mayer said. "This is a step in that direction."
Shifting the equivalent of one full-time CitiLift rider to the Reno area's regular Citifare bus system will save CitiLift $5,900 each year, RTC was told.
RTC wants to implement a new screening procedure that identifies if someone needs to ride CitiLift.
Some riders would need a statement from a health professional before they can ride CitiLift.
With the new tests, the number of refusals for CitiLift service is expected to jump from 16 percent to 24 percent.
