Shellie Allen Jr.

Shellie Allen Jr., 65, of Las Vegas died Jan. 12 in Las Vegas. He was born April 27, 1934, in Shreveport, La. A resident for 29 years, he was an automobile mechanic.

He is survived by his wife, Hazel Faye, and two sons, Norris Allen and Willis Allen, all of Ennis, Texas; four brothers, Leroy Allen of San Diego, Johnnie Allen of San Bernardino, Calif., and Floyd Allen and Billy Allen, both of Las Vegas; and six sisters, Lucille Caldwell and Ruby Grisby, both of Tucson, Ariz., Jurlean Perry, Bessie Burrell and Bobby Walker, all of San Bernardino, and Guertherean Allen of Bradley, Ark.

Visitation is scheduled 3-5 p.m. today in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services and burial will be private.

Renee J. Bohamed

Renee J. Bohamed, 74, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born May 19, 1925, in Montreal. A resident for six years, she was a retired mail reader for Banker's Life Insurance Co.

She is survived by her husband, Theophile; one daughter, Helene Clayton of Las Vegas; two sons, Pierre R. Bohamed and Claude A. Bohamed; two sisters, Onida Sabourin and Eugenie Carniel; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling private arrangements.

Orlando 'Glen' Bruni

Orlando 'Glen' Bruni, 67, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 19, 1933, in Amantea, Italy. A resident for three years, he was a retired heating and cooling company owner, a member of the Venetian Club and the Livonia Civitan Club, a volunteer with Angela Hospice, Livonia Heart Fund and Karmanos Cancer Center.

He is survived by his wife, Loretta; two daughters, Denise Marion of Las Vegas and Diane Johnston of Livonia, Mich.; one son, Gregory Tome of Farmington Hills, Mich.; his father, Vittorio Bruni, and one brother, Joseph Bruni, both of Dearborn, Mich.; three sisters, Josephine Furgiuele and Saveria Bruni, both of Dearborn, and Rose Rizzo of Dearborn Heights; and one granddaughter, Jordyn Lee Marion of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. services Saturday and will continue from 5 until 7 p.m. in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

The family suggests donations to the Nathan Adelson Hospice, 4141 S. Swenson St., Las Vegas, NV 89119.

Vera V. Caples

Vera V. Caples, 86, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 3, 1913, in Forest Grove, Ore. A resident for six years, she was a retired licensed vocational nurse.

She is survived by two sons, Robert S. Caples and Everett D. Caples, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Harold Tumbleson of Forest Grove, Ore.; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Elsa Gaete

Elsa Gaete, 89, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born July 28, 1910, in Chili. A resident for six months, she was an accountant.

She is survived by one daughter, Isabel Kirkpatrick of Las Vegas.

Burial will be in San Francisco. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Virginia Heart

Virginia Heart, 90, of Las Vegas died Monday in Santa Fe, N.M. She was born Sept. 13, 1909, in Rocky Ford, Colo. A resident for 30 years, she was a retired Dunes hotel housekeeper and a retired member of the Culinary Union.

She is survived by three daughters, Lorraine E. Johnson of Oklahoma, Marilyn L. Walker of Las Vegas and Alberta M. Seltzer of New Mexico; three sisters, Esther Martinez and Bertha Burke, both of New Mexico; and nine grandchildren.

Graveside services were scheduled at 10 a.m. today in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Eugenia Hernandez

Eugenia Hernandez, 52, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born March 26, 1947, in Cuba. A resident for 26 years, she was a housekeeping inspector at the MGM Grand.

She is survived by her husband, Geraldo, and two sons, Nelson Hernandez and Armand Hernandez, both of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 8 p.m. today in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Cheryl Ann Keyes

Cheryl Ann Keyes, 43, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 24, 1956, in California. A resident for six years, she was an accountant for U.S. Foodservice.

She is survived by her fiance, Jim Broaddus of Las Vegas; one son, Dusty Hegler of Augusta, Ga.; her mother, Ruth Keyes of Grants Pass, Ore.; and one brother, Cliff James of Indiana.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Burial will be private.

George Daniel Krebs

George Daniel Krebs, 60, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 18, 1939, in West Virginia. A resident for 22 years, he was a retired Marine Corps veteran and a member of the Masons and Shriners.

He is survived by his wife, Kay; one son, Charles Michael Krebs; one daughter, Cynthia Pena; one brother, David Krebs; one sister, Lisa Williams; and six grandchildren.

Services will be 3 p.m. Sunday in Echoes of Faith Church, Indian Springs. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Merardo Lugo

Merardo Lugo, 79, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 29, 1921, in Puerto Rico. A resident for six years, he was a retired laborer.

He is survived by one daughter, Ada Serrano of Las Vegas; one son, Jorge Lugo, two sisters and two brothers, all of Puerto Rico; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

Tony Macone

Tony Macone, 72, of Las Vegas died Jan. 2 in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 13, 1927, in Massachusetts. A resident for several years, he was a nightclub owner.

He is survived by two sons, James Macone and Frank Macone, both of Las Vegas.

Burial will be in California. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Arthur A. Marquez

Arthur A. Marquez, 54, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 3, 1945, in California. A resident for 20 years, he was an engineer in the automotive industry, a Vietnam War Army veteran and recipient of the Purple Heart, a member of the American Motorcycle Association and a leader of Boy Scout Troop 133.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; two sons, Rob Marquez and James Marquez, and two daughters, Sandra and Tamara Marquez, all of Las Vegas; one brother, Robert Marquez, and one sister, Armida Loza, both of California; and two grandchildren.

A memorial bike run will be 11 a.m. Feb. 3 at Valley of Fire. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Doris Bell McGhee

Doris Bell McGhee, 73, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 27, 1926, in Dinuba, Calif. A resident for six years, she was a waitress.

She is survived by two sons, Dan McGhee of Bridge City, La., Frank McGhee of San Diego; her twin sister, Deloris Westover of Las Vegas; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-noon Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Elvia McGuire

Elvia McGuire, 24, of Las Vegas died Dec. 10 in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 13, 1975, in Oxnard, Calif.

Betsey Lynn Parkin

Betsey Lynn Parkin, 40, of Boulder City died Thursday in Boulder City. She was born June 3, 1959, in Durango, Colo. A resident for several years, she was a meter reader for the Las Vegas Valley Water District.

She is survived by her husband, John; her father and stepmother, James and Peggy Bales of Lafayette, La.; one daughter, Casie Thibodeaux, one stepdaughter, Susan Parkin, and one stepson, Michael Parkin, all of Boulder City.

Services will be Saturday in Bethany Baptist Church, 210 Wyoming St., Boulder City. Burial will be private. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Mildred E. Reeves

Mildred E. Reeves, 80, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 15, 1919, in Los Angeles. A resident for 18 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, E. Thomas; one daughter, Carol Bosley of Las Vegas; one brother, Jack Bedford of Huntington Beach, Calif.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 2 p.m. services Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Hermann H. Ritsch

Hermann H. Ritsch, 78, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 8, 1921, in Germany. A resident for 14 years, he was a retired apartment rental manager.

He is survived by his wife, Josephine; four sons, Richard Kirchheim, Erick Kirchheim and Friedrich Kirchheim, all of Las Vegas, and Miguel Kirchheim of Argentina; one daughter, Nybia Rojas of Las Vegas; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Elmer Smith Robinson

Elmer Smith Robinson, 88, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 9, 1911, in Kanab, Utah. A resident for 47 years, he was a retired crane operator for a titanium metal company, a World War II Army veteran and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by his wife, Ora Mae Willden Robinson, and three daughters, Estelle Kohler, Gwen Hughes and Bonnie Jacobsen, all of Henderson; three sons, Larry E. Robinson and Paul J. Robinson, both of Henderson, and Richard A. Robinson of Kanab; 53 grandchildren, 77 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Additional visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 11 a.m. services Saturday in the LDS Desert Rose Relief Society Room.

Arthur P. Sutton

Arthur P. Sutton, 85, of Boulder City died Jan. 4 in a local hospital. He was born April 5, 1914, in Canada. A resident for 14 years, he was a machinist and tool and die inspector in the aerospace industry.

He is survived by his wife, Juliette; one son, Donald of Tennessee and Otto of California; one daughter, Janet Wilson of Boulder City; one sister of Michigan; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Burial was scheduled in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Neptune Society of Nevada, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, Building 5, handled arrangements.

Robert Eugene Taylor

Robert Eugene Taylor, 59, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born June 15, 1940, in Buffalo, N.Y. A resident for 10 years, he owned a home building company in Maine and Las Vegas and was a retired Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Frances "Frankie"; one daughter, Mykkee Rigolizzo of Las Vegas; two sons, Frank Cook of Portland, Maine, and Michael Cook of Massachusetts; one brother, Keith Taylor of Mooresville, N.C.; one sister, Linda Sue Phillis of Cleveland; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 6-9 p.m. today in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Burial will be private.

Francis J. 'Frank' Travers

Francis J. "Frank" Travers, 80, of Henderson died Monday in a local care center. He was born March 27, 1919, in Lowell, Mass. A resident for 41 years, he was a retired government postal worker, a World War II Navy veteran, a member of Knights of Columbus 5448 and the Holy Family Retreat Association.

He is survived by his wife, Donna; two daughters, Lynn Travers and Toni Goz, both of Henderson; one sister, Lillian Quinn of E. Chelmsford, Mass.; and one granddaughter, Lauren Goz of Henderson.

Visitation will continue until 8 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. vigil in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Mass will be celebrated at noon Saturday in St. Christopher's Catholic Church, 1840 N. Bruce St. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Charles Young, 69, of Las Vegas died Dec. 15 in Las Vegas. He was born April 6, 1930, in Las Vegas.
