The UNLV men's tennis team will open its 2000 season with the unenviable task of taking on the nation's top-ranked team.
The Rebels, ranked 49th, begin an imposing three-match road trip at No. 1 UCLA Thursday. UNLV then faces 11th-ranked Southern California Friday and 21st-ranked Pepperdine on Saturday. The Rebels have never beaten any of the three teams.
UNLV, which finished last year 12-10 overall and ranked 45th, will open its home campaign on Feb. 11.
