Police headquarters badly need repairs

North Las Vegas police face enough problems on the streets, but it doesn't get much better when they return to their headquarters.
The department's 50-year-old building is plagued with problems caused by aging.
Officers find themselves fighting jammed working conditions. And when it rains, they pitch in to shuffle sandbags to stem flooding in the building.
Restrooms have gone unfixed for months.
And the department's special operations office - which houses 18 narcotics, SWAT and traffic officers - shares four desks and four computer terminals in a room the size of a home bathroom.
