Plea agreement concerns judge

A federal judge has expressed doubts about accepting terms of a plea agreement involving a $1.2 million money laundering scheme.
The agreement would require U.S. District Judge Howard McKibben to grant the defendants a departure from federal sentencing guidelines.
The case involves Dr. Raymond Yin and his wife, Sue, a former director of Asian marketing at Bally's hotel-casino. The couple has pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering.
The two were among 11 people arrested in March 1998 following a two-year investigation.
