Magazine gives high marks to Strip resort

Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2000 | 11:06 a.m.

The Venetian hotel-casino was named one of the top business hotels in the United States by an in-flight travel magazine, the only hotel in Las Vegas to make the list.

The Venetian was listed among seven "best hotels for business travelers" in the January edition of "American Way," the in-flight magazine of American Airlines.

The magazine cited such room amenities as three two-line phones, combination fax/copier/printers, computer dataports and in-room safes big enough to hold a laptop. American Way was also impressed with the Venetian's full-service business center and travel bureau -- and its direct connection to the 1.7 million-square foot Sands Expo Center.

The six other hotels listed were: Loews Miami Beach; Hotel Teatro, Denver; Trump International Hotel & Tower, New York; the Sherman House, San Francisco; Swissotel, Atlanta; and Hyatt Regency McCormick Place, Chicago.
