New York investor Mario Gabelli, a substantial shareholder in Jackpot Enterprises Inc., has increased his stake in the Las Vegas company.
A Securities and Exchange Commission filing indicates several funds controlled by Gabelli acquired 36,600 shares of Jackpot stock over the past two months, spending a total of $307,000. All but 5,000 shares were purchased in the last 10 days.
Gabelli purchased shares between $8.18 and $8.50 per share.
Gabelli's funds now hold 536,600 shares of Jackpot stock, representing a 6.22 percent stake in the company.
