U.S. Supreme Court rules against condemned Nevada inmate

The high court made no comment in rejecting the appeal from Libby, 34, who appealed after trying unsuccessfully to get the Nevada Supreme Court to overturn his convictions.
The state's high court ruled against Libby in 1993, and refused in 1995 to grant him a rehearing in the case involving the September 1988 murders of Charles Beatty and James Robertson.
One man was shot in the head and had his throat slashed. The second victim was shot in the head when he walked into the room. Libby, 22 at the time, was later arrested in Missouri driving a car owned by one of the victims.
The Kirksville, Mont., native has been imprisoned in Nevada since March 1990.
