Salvatore 'Sam' Abene
Salvatore "Sam" Abene, 56, of Henderson died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born July 21, 1943, in Chicago. A resident for 16 years, he was an automobile mechanic.
He is survived by his wife, Cheri; and one son, Christopher Salvatore Abene of Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 5 p.m. services Wednesday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.
Eddie Adams Jr.
Eddie Adams Jr., 72, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born May 27, 1927, in Mississippi. A resident for 27 years, he was an automobile mechanic.
He is survived by his wife, Corlanthy; two daughters, Carolyn Spurlin of Las Vegas and Earline Adams of Arizona; four sons, Isaac Spurlin, Kenneth Spurlin and Tyrone Spurlin, all of Las Vegas, and Steven Spurlin of Delaware; one brother, David Adams of Chicago; three sisters, Hattie Jones and Willie Adams, both of Chicago, and Mary Willis of Indianapolis; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 2-8 p.m. Wednesday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in American Burial and Cremation Services. A private burial will follow.
Anne Arnove
Anne Arnove, 92, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 18, 1907, in New York. A resident for six years, she was a retired store owner.
She is survived by two sons, Richard Arnove of Las Vegas and Martin D. Arnove of Tulsa, Okla.; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Everyl Brickner
Everyl Brickner, 95, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 31, 1904, in York, Pa. A resident for six years, he was a retired banker.
He is survived by one son, Craig Brickner of Henderson; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Dorothy M. Brown
Dorothy M. Brown, 68, of Henderson died Monday in a local convalescent hospital. She was born Nov. 26, 1931, in South Dorset, Vt. A resident for 20 years, she was a retired food server and a member of the Culinary Union.
She is survived by four sisters, Patricia Molloy of Henderson, Eileen Sharp and Martha Decker, both of Silver Spring, Md., and Sarah Molloy of East Dorset; two brothers, Edward Molloy Jr. of Canada and Thomas Molloy of Manchester, Vt.
Graveside services will be private. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to Big Brothers-Big Sisters of Southern Nevada, 3355 Spring Mountain Road, Las Vegas, NV 89102.
Laverne Center
Laverne Center, 63, of Las Vegas died Friday. She was born March 7, 1936, in Utah. A resident for 18 years, she was a retired assembler for an electronics manufacturer, a member of the Elks and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.
She is survived by one daughter, Wendy Abney of Las Vegas; one son, William Center of Texas; one sister, Lona L'Heureux of Omaha, Neb.; and five grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. services Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Kendrick Lamar Coleman
Kendrick Lamar Coleman, 17, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born March 26, 1982, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a retail salesman.
He is survived by his mother, Melasand Stowers, his father, Alfredro Coleman, three brothers, Lavar Coleman, Wilbert Davis and Alfredro Coleman, four sisters, Sharrose Davis, Scqouia Davis, Chanel Morris and Donice Coleman, and his grandmother, Josephine Snedecor, all of Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled 1-8 p.m. Wednesday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Greater St. Paul Church of God in Christ, 911 N. G St. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Jennie B. Deloney
Jennie B. Deloney, 88, of Henderson died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 1, 1912, in Mississippi. A resident for 10 years, she retired from Sparkling Cleaners as a presser in 1977 after 23 years.
She is survived by one child, Donnell Jones of Henderson.
Visitation is scheduled noon-3 p.m. Wednesday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.
Charles Bernard DeMars
Charles Bernard DeMars, 88, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 6, 1911, in Fair Haven, Mich. A resident for 10 years, he was a steam engineer in the Merchant Marines, a member of the Kentucky Colonels, Detroit River Racing Association and the Eagles and charter member and past commodore of the Windmill Point Yacht Club.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn; two sons, Victor of Grosse Pointe Woods, Mich., and Charles of Manhattan Beach, Calif.; one daughter, Carol LaFlear of Utica, Mich.; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Richard H. Gibb, 67, of Las Vegas died Jan. 9 in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 22, 1932, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for eight years, he was an advertising salesman and a Korean War Marine Corps veteran.
He is survived by one son; two daughters; two brothers; one sister; and four grandchildren.
Burial was in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., handled arrangements.

Charles M. Gregory, 69, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local health care center. He was born July 23, 1930, in Fresno, Calif. A resident for 35 years, he was a salesman for a beverage distributor for 20 years and a Korean War Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Paula M.; three sons, Paul Allen and John Allen, both of Las Vegas, and Danny Gregory of California; six daughters, Sue Wisniewski and Peggy Scalamere, both of Las Vegas, Sharon Gregory, Judy Gregory and Cindy Gregory, all of California, and Maryann Grieco of New York; three brothers, Vern Gregory of Florida and Bob Gregory and Ron Gregory, both of California; one sister, Charlene Alvarado of Arkansas; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. services Thursday in Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St.

Martha E. Hirsch, 82, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 9, 1917, in Sheridan, Wyo. A resident for 53 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Charles; and one sister, Ila Mae Davis of El Paso, Texas.

William M. Lolatte
William M. Lolatte, 38, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. He was born April 16, 1961, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was the former owner and operator of World Class Travel.
He is survived by his parents, Elizabeth and William J. Lolatte of Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Burial will be 2 p.m. Friday in Palm Memorial Park.
Roberta 'Bobbi' Maloney
Roberta 'Bobbi' Maloney, 61, of Henderson died Monday in a local hospice. She was born Feb. 3, 1938, in the Bronx, N.Y. A resident for 12 years, she was a retired hotel administrator, the first employee at Harrah's Laughlin and a member of the Newcomers Club of Henderson.
She is survived by her husband, John; one daughter, Robin Scaggs of Henderson; one son, Donald Bornschein of Laughlin; and seven grandchildren.

Michael T. Martin
Michael T. Martin, 67, of Henderson died Friday in Henderson. He was born Nov. 6, 1932, in San Diego. A resident for 12 years, he was a general contractor and a Korean War Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine; one daughter, Deniece McGinnis of Henderson; two sons, Stephen S. Martin of Henderson and Michael Eric Martin of Desert Hot Springs, Calif.; one stepdaughter, Melanie Barrick of Provo, Utah; two sisters, Toni Gibson and Patricia Chard, both of Raleigh, N.C.; one brother, David J. Martin of Henderson; and one grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Additional visitation is scheduled 90 minutes prior to 2 p.m. services Wednesday in the Guilford LDS Relief Society Room, 1525 Guilford Drive. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Emiliano N. Martinez
Emiliano N. Martinez, 70, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 14, 1929, in Cuba. A resident for 15 years, he was a hairdresser.
He is survived by six brothers, Jorge Martinez, Hunberto Martinez and Roberto Martinez, all of Las Vegas, Ramiro Martinez of Puerto Rico, Manuel Martinez of Miami and Everardo Martinez of Tampa, Fla.; and four sisters, Elena Martinez of Cuba and Mirtha Martinez, Gladys Martinez and Lidubina Martinez, all of Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled 3-8 p.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Bunkers Chapel.
Klarke Le Roy 'Corky' Meyers
Klarke Le Roy "Corky" Meyers, 72, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born May 23, 1927, in Texas. A resident for 50 years, he was a casino executive.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria; two sons, Charles Meyers of Carthage, Texas, and Kim Meyers of Las Vegas; two daughters, Fayee Meyers of Las Vegas and Brenda Leber of Corcoran, Calif.; one brother, Clarence Meyers of Los Angeles; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 2-6 p.m. Wednesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Bunkers Chapel. Burial will follow in Eden Vale Memorial Park.
William Patterson
William Patterson, 66, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 14, 1933, in Seattle. A resident for 2 1/2 years, he was a retired police officer, a Korean War Air Force veteran and a LDS temple ordinance worker in Seattle and Las Vegas.
He is survived by his wife, Lorana; two daughters, Tracy Patterson of Lynnwood, Wash., and Michelle Millet of Salt Lake City; three sons, Jaye Patterson of American Fork, Utah, David Patterson of Las Vegas and Paul Patterson of Lynnwood; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. today and 9-11 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Cedar Creek LDS Ward at Sloan Lane and Alcott Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Jesus Porras
Jesus Porras, 59, of North Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 5, 1940, in Ojinaga, Mexico. A resident for several years, he was a carpenter.
He is survived by his wife, Martha; four sons, Juan Porras, Daniel Porras, Martin Porras and Jesus Miguel Porras, and one daughter, Anna Porras Estrada, all of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Mary Jo Robb, 75, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born April 15, 1924, in El Paso, Texas. A resident for 19 years, she was a homemaker and a member of the Mesquite Club.
She is survived by her husband, Giles; two sons, Geoffrey of Houston and Eric of Monterey, Calif.; two daughters, Stephanie Ray of Monterey and Lisa Falcon of Vancouver, British Columbia; one brother, Albert Lawrence of El Paso; one sister, Stella Mateus of Belmont, Calif.; and 10 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Elsie Rosen, 82, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 2, 1917, in the Bronx, N.Y. A resident for 18 years, she was a retired bookkeeper.
She is survived by two daughters, Evelyn Cintron of Las Vegas and Rhoda Rosenkowitz of Queens, N.Y.; one son, Herb Rosenkowitz, and one sister, Rose Meyrowitz, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Jack Turk of Queens; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Larry Sapperstein Sr.
Larry Sapperstein Sr., 75, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born July 29, 1924, in Baltimore. A resident for 24 years, he was a retired accountant and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Benson-Sapperstein; two daughters, Barbara Parsons of Westminster, Md., and Dana Cooke of Oak Harbor, Wash.; two sons, Larry Sapperstein of Reno and Richard Sapperstein of Las Vegas; two brothers, Edward Sapperstein of Philadelphia and Gerald Sapperstein of Doylestown, Pa.; and four grandchildren.

Sydney Simmons, 64, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. He was born Nov. 28, 1935, in Sandys, Bermuda. A resident for nine years, he was a retired Excalibur porter.
He is survived by his wife, Addie M.; one daughter, Ronda Simmons of Sandys; one son, Eugene Simmons of Somerset, Bermuda; one brother, Leroy Simmons of Bermuda; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.
Elcy J. Smith
Elcy J. Smith, 82, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 1, 1917, in Canada. A resident for 11 years, she was an assembler for a manufacturer.
She is survived by three sisters, Phyllis Miller and Pat Lokkesmoe, both of California, and Marie Chuha of Las Vegas; and one niece, Nancy Sparks.
Burial will be in Glendale, Calif. Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., is handling arrangements.
John Frederick Tieman
John Frederick Tieman, 71, of Las Vegas died Friday. He was born May 28, 1928, in Oklahoma. A resident for 10 years, he was a truck driver, an Army veteran, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and American Federation of Police Associates.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lu; one son, John F. Tieman III; one daughter, Dixie Tieman; and one grandchild.

She is survived by her husband, Neal; one son, Edward Bennett of Las Vegas; two daughters, Barbara Ames of Henderson and Debbie Barth of Boulder City; one sister, Louise Lowe of Albuquerque, N.M.; and 14 grandchildren.

Henry Donald Weber, 81, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born July 29, 1918, in Detroit. A resident for one year, he retired as an automobile salesman after 25 years, was a World War II Air Force veteran, a member of the Elks and Masons.
He is survived by one son, Ronald J. Weber of Las Vegas; one sister, Lolda Hess of Highland, Mich.; and one grandchild.

Ray Williams, 71, of Boulder City died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born June 30, 1928, in Copperfield, Utah. A resident for 12 years, he was a retired retail manager and musician and an Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce; four daughters, Leslie Williams and Carrie Bernards, both of Santa Clarita, Calif., Nancy Lazkani of Sherman Oaks, Calif., and Lisa Jones of Palmdale, Calif.; one son, Vincent Williams of Las Vegas; 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to noon services Wednesday in the Buchanan LDS Relief Society Room, Boulder City. Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
