Housing to be supplied for HIV positive

A new project will give 20 HIV positive people and their families a place to live within Clark County.
Jeff Smith, director of Aid for AIDS of Nevada, says housing is one of the greatest problems facing the HIV community now. Lack of housing means no stability, no routine, and no way to obtain badly-needed medicine on a daily basis.
Some HIV positive patients are required to take more than 90 pills a day, according to Susan Little, the social work supervisor for the HIV outreach unit of Clark County.
The homeless living with AIDS are faced with not having the ability to take their medication when they can't find a place to sleep and eat.
Beginning in July, 20 homeless people who are HIV positive and their families will receive permanent housing for the next five years in Clark County.
