Some of the world's top gymnasts, including Amy Chow, Morgan White, Stephen McCain and Jay Thornton, will converge on the MGM Grand Garden tonight for the RCA Gymnastics Challenge. The event gets under way at 7 p.m.
The RCA Challenge is the first of three events comprising the newly formatted America Cup Series. Top finishers here and in a second qualifying meet in St. Petersburg, Fla., will move on to the finals in Orlando, Fla., on Feb. 26.
"This is one of those unique chances when you can see -- right in front of you, performing live -- some of those Olympic ahtletes, to feel that pulse, that electricity of the arena when these big competitions are going on," said legendary gymnastics coach Bela Karolyi, when asked what Las Vegans could expect to see tonight.
Tickets for the RCA Gymnastics Challenge are $30 and $40.
