Mylea Lamari Amie

Mylea Lamari Amie, 6 weeks, died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 28, 1999, in Las Vegas.

She is survived by her mother, Denise Dixon, and two sisters, Myla Amie and Myreona Amie, and her grandparents, Brendy and Scottie Yancey and Michael and Marilyn Amie, all of Las Vegas; and her great-grandparents, Lena Dixon and Elizabeth and Ellis Barlow, all of Hazelhurst, Miss., Emmitt Pilot of Los Angeles and Ruby Pilot and Johnny and Odessa Patillo, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Chapel, Main. Graveside services will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

Arthur E. Andrews

Arthur E. Andrews, 87, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospice. He was born March 9, 1912, in Connecticut. A resident for 17 years, he was a bench machinist at Hughes Tool Co., an Army veteran and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars 81563 Post 2075.

She is survived by one daughter, Joan Raphael of Henderson; two brothers, Alfred Andrews of Wolcott, Conn., and Charles H. Andrews of Plainville, Conn.; one sister, Mildred J. Andrews of Connecticut; three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Richard William Bennett

Richard William Bennett, 68, of Boulder City died Jan. 3 in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 13, 1931, in the Bronx, N.Y. A former Las Vegas resident for 10 years and most recently a resident of Boulder City for 10 years, he was a retired food and beverage director at Circus Circus and the Plaza, a Korean War Navy veteran and helped found the committee to pass legislation for senior rights in Nevada.

He is survived by two nephews, Mike Boreham of Boulder City and Craig Holman of Las Vegas.

Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.

The family suggests donations to the Doris Day Animal Foundation.

Dale J. Bird

Dale J. Bird, 60, of Las Vegas died Dec. 29 in Las Vegas. He was born April 6, 1939, in Salina, Utah. A resident for 36 years, he was a supervisor in the gaming industry.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara J.; five sons, David Bird, Chris Bird, John Bird and Paul Bird, all of Las Vegas, and Robert Bird of Lubbock, Texas; two brothers, Ferrol Bird of Wyoming and Clark of Provo, Utah; one sister, Jenny of Provo; and four grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Paradise Memorial Gardens. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

James Robert Bowen

James Robert Bowen, 60, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 5, 1939, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for four years, he was a retired state trooper, an Air Force veteran and a member of Paralyzed Veterans of America.

He is survived by his wife, Janet E.; one son, James Ross Bowen of Portland, Ore.; two daughters, Jeanine O'Reilly of Pennsylvania and Kim Morrissey of Charleston, S.C.; his mother, Elizabeth Cornelius, and one sister, Barbara Safian, both of Boca Raton, Fla.; and three grandchildren.

Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Mary Louise Fox Brown

Mary Louise Fox Brown, 67, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born March 3, 1932, in Ohio. A resident for many years, she was a clerical worker.

She is survived by one son, Michael Fox of Ohio.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Ohio. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Charles H. Brumback Jr.

Charles H. Brumback Jr., 75, of North Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local health care center. He was born Nov. 30, 1924, in Bonham, Texas. A resident for 40 years, he was a retired painter and a member of Painters Local 159.

He is survived by his wife, Hazel R.; three sons, James E. Brumback of Wenatchee, Wash., and Charles H. Brumback III and David L. Brumback, both of Las Vegas; one daughter, Janis Cramer of Las Vegas; one brother, Emmitt Brumback of Gig Harbor, Wash.; his friend, Kim Thomas of Las Vegas; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were scheduled at 11:30 a.m. today in Memory Gardens. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Zabrina Echo Castellone

Zabrina Echo Castellone, 36, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. A medical assistant, she was born July 7, 1963, in Seattle.

She is survived by her husband, Paul; one daughter, Amy Kingsley of Las Vegas; three sons, Preston Kingsley of Las Vegas and Zachary Coburn and Joshua Coburn; her mother, Lucille Rogers, and one brother, Field Rogers, both of Brunssum, Northwest Territories.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. services Saturday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.

Ted Conwell

Ted Conwell, 58, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 10, 1941, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for three years, he was a retired city government water superintendent, a Vietnam War Army veteran and a charter member of the U.S. Army Black Lions.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; one daughter, Jessie Tayrien of Fort Lewis, Wash.; and three grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

Frank Cordero

Frank Cordero, 62, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born May 3, 1937, in New York. A resident for 30 years, he was a cook at the Landmark hotel-casino and a local hairstylist.

Joseph Dembe

Joseph Dembe, 81, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born June 5, 1918, in Cleveland. A resident for 12 years, he was a retired union official and an investigator for TIRB.

He is survived by his wife, Judy.

Alan M. Demchenko Sr.

Alan M. Demchenko Sr., 44, of Las Vegas died Monday. He was born March 16, 1955, in New Jersey. A resident for four years, he was a mobile mechanic for a diesel trucking company and a Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Cathy A.; one son, Alan M. Demchenko Jr. of Las Vegas; and one daughter, Sarah M. Ramirez of Bluffton, S.C.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Jean Eckhardt

Jean Eckhardt, 64, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born May 15, 1935, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for five years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, John A.; three daughters, Colleen Perna and Teresa Lutzker, both of Las Vegas, and Denise Peebles of Henderson; three sons, Robert Eckhardt of Las Vegas, Richard Eckhardt of Long Beach, Calif., Daniel Eckhardt of Levittown, N.Y.; two sisters, Margaret Fink and Lorraine Rowan, both of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and four grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Albert E. Ford

Albert E. Ford, 69, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 24, 1930, in Philadelphia. A resident for 31 years, he was a Las Vegas Machine supervisor and a veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Ann; one son, Bert Ford of Las Vegas; three brothers, Richard A. Ford of Blackwood, N.J., Roger B. Ford of Las Vegas and Donald R. Ford of Williamsburg, N.J.; and three grandsons.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Walter B. Gray

Walter B. Gray, 76, of North Las Vegas died Jan. 7 in North Las Vegas. He was born April 30, 1923, in Eldorado, Kan. A resident for 50 years, he was a retired Air Force engine inspector.

He is survived by one sister, Virginia McKaig of California.

Donald William Heidman

Donald William Heidman, 51, of Henderson died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 19, 1948, in Chicago. A resident for two years, he was a Continental Airline mechanic for 15 years, a Vietnam War Navy veteran and a member of the Air Force Reserves.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa; two sons, Billy Heidman and Gary Heidman, both of Henderson; her mother, Marjorie Heidman of Torrance, Calif.; and three brothers, Richard Heidman of New Jersey, Charles Heidman of Hermosa Beach, Calif., and Gary Heidman of Arizona.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Green Valley Baptist Church, 270 N. Valle Verde Drive, Henderson. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Charles Frederick Herre

Charles Frederick Herre, 68, of Las Vegas died Dec. 31 in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 13, 1931, in Nebraska. A resident for three years, he was a department chief for Western Electric/AT&T.

He is survived by his wife, Joan; three sons, Michael, Pat and Todd; one daughter, Susan Rockidge; one brother, Darrell Herre; one sister, Marilyn Higgins; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Dorothy M. Johnson, 68, of Gretna, La., died Monday in Gretna. She was born Aug. 7, 1931, in Los Angeles. A former Las Vegas resident for three years, she was a retired communications supervisor.

She is survived by one daughter, Lillian Johnson Parker, and one stepson, Wesley Johnson Jr., both of New Orleans; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Lily K. Kong, 78, of Las Vegas died Jan. 4 in Las Vegas. She was born May 12, 1921, in Hawaii. A resident for 28 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by three brothers, William Tong, Richard Tong and George Tong, all of Hawaii.

Charles Stanley Kreutz, 67, of Las Vegas died Dec. 19 in Las Vegas. He was born June 3, 1932, in Canada. A resident for 30 years, he was a laborer and a Marine Corps veteran.

Audrey Elene Lee, 77, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local care center. She was born Aug. 15, 1922, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 36 years, she was an executive assistant for the Department of Energy and an Army veteran.

She is survived by two sons, William Lee of Mexico and Russell Lee of Las Vegas; two daughters, Sharon Capel and Eilene Keeney, both of Pahrump; and one brother, William Boyles of Santa Monica, Calif.

Joseph M. Rodriguez, 83, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born April 25, 1916, in New Jersey. A resident for 45 years, he was a retired master chef, a World War II Army veteran and a member of the Clark Terrace Seniors Community.

He is survived by one sister, Flora Gianikos of Reno; two brothers, Tony Rodriquez of Northport, N.Y., and Jackie Rodriguez of England; and his companion, Lorraine Gold of Las Vegas.

William J. Ronald

William J. Ronald, 69, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born June 10, 1930, in Colorado. A resident for 45 years, he was a retired fenceman and a Korean War Army veteran.

He is survived by one sister, Jean Rogers of Beaver, Utah; and three brothers, Roy Ronald of Portland, Ore., and Charles Ronald and Wesley Ronald, both of Las Vegas.

Margaret Ruth Schory

Margaret Ruth Schory, 70, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. She was born Feb. 16, 1929, in Berkeley, Calif. A resident for 10 years, she was a security officer for a research and development company.

She is survived by her husband, Herbert S.; two daughters, Faye Orme of Fairport, N.Y., and Kathryn Blose of Newport, Pa.; one son, David Schory of Lancaster, Pa.; one brother, George Wells of Rocklin, Calif.; and 11 grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 11 a.m. services Monday in the Hollywood and Kell LDS Chapel. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Idessia Thompson

Idessia Thompson, 69, of North Las Vegas died Sunday in North Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 22, 1930, in Bearden, Ark. A resident for 47 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by five daughters, Mechelle Clark of North Las Vegas, Dorothy Rochelle, Teresa Bryant and Cheryle Highsmith, all of Fordyce, Ark., and Pepie Thompson of Las Vegas; one son, Lee Clark of Las Vegas; two sisters, Mattie Taylor of Compton, Calif., and Catherine Thompson of San Diego; two brothers, Cleophas Thompson of Compton and Huies Thompson of Hemet, Calif.; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Benny Walker, 67, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born June 16, 1932, in Hope, Ark. A resident for 35 years, he was a retired convention porter.

He is survived by his wife, Alice; two daughters, Sylvia Walker and Audrey Spann, both of Las Vegas; three sons, Bobby Brass and Phillander Kleinpeter, both of Las Vegas, and Phillip Kleinpeter of Mesa, Ariz.; one sister, Christine Walker of Denver; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
